Making Out with Suzie - Blue Morris Big surprise, it's my birthday again And I'm not turning twenty-one But I've got all my friends around me, We're playing guitars for everyone And I never, never, feel alone I don't believe in loneliness But somehow now that it's my birthday, I could do with a little fun. Who's that pretty girl standing in the black dress? With the curly hair all spinning 'round? She's walking up to me with a smile to lead her way, Who'd she come with? Hello there nice to meet you, She shook my hand And as we talked she just wouldn't let go We just stood there holding hands And as I studied the colour of her eyes, We talked about our lives Then she touched me on the arm that way that women do, To make you know she understands She took me by the arm and walked me to the kitchen Looking for a private spot There was only one place that we could find Where we could be alone Making out with Suzie in the bathroom Making out with Suzie in the john Don't come knocking, 'cause we're not done, Making out and having fun We had no idea how much time had passed It's hard to tell when you're moving so fast But I do know when my shirt buttons hit the floor, We heard the knock on the door We could hear voices and a line-up And the through the door, someone called She looked me in the eye and said “just act natural, And meet me out in the hall.” Making out with Suzie in the bathroom Making out with Suzie in the hall Don't come knocking, 'cause we're not done Making out and having fun

Love Love Love You – Blue Morris I'll never forget the curl of your smile babe, That toothy grin, drinking from a tea cup full of gin Sitting in your polka dots and laughing right at me We danced and laughed and laughed and danced and drank too much and did it all again I could tell your friends were watching, and warning you about me You shrugged them off and invited me into your taxi I just wanna love love love love you baby Ya I just wanna love love love love you baby The cab stopped in the night and you just left that door open Morning light came you left me in bed with your cat purrin' Less than a day and two kicks, was all of your heart's plan What if I knew then I'd only be your one night man? I just wanna love love love love you baby Ya I just wanna love love love love you baby

How Hard Do I Gotta Try? - Blue Morris Working all these hours pushing buttons on a screen Don't know what the buttons do or even what they mean I know I'm just a wheel hear my creak For me the only reason is a pay cheque every week I think of all the years that I'll be working here Try to save some money but it's not enough I fear Most of that will go to rent and beer That I pour on my heart to make my sorrows disappear How hard do I gotta try? How hard do I gotta try? Try and try and try, How fuckin' hard do I gotta try? I had a girl and then I lost the girl then I got the girl again I know that we'll be married it's just a question when She says she wants to share her life When there's money in the bank and our shit together that's when she'll be my wife Years pass and the bank account is just about the same Spend so much time together we are playing cruel games We drink too much and live in a fog No she's leaving with the TV and joint custody of my dog Weeks later she said she missed me so we had a kid instead And fell in love all over again And fell in debt all over again When you got nothing left to lose but still so much left to prove You just close your eyes Walk through life and love your wife and try to be the best man you can How hard do I gotta try? How hard do I gotta try? Try and try and try, How fuckin' hard do I gotta try?

Kryptonite 04:18
Kryptonite – Blue Morris Maybe I spend too many hours working at my Daily Planet Coming home late each night, tired and empty handed Does it matter how I try? I know you'll say goodbye Am I a superhuman fool? Who can't grasp the rules Don't you dare say you love me when you say, when you say, goodbye I'm no man of steel You can call your justice league Baby we'll still fight 'cause I'm Kryptonite I can't dodge so many bullets Baby we're from different planets Nothing I do is right 'cause I'm Kryptonite Baby you're no Lois Lane, but I'm at my worst You want me to make you feel like the centre of the universe But baby our planet died And our wills collide and now you are the bird, girl And the plane that flies Don't you dare say you love me when you say, when you say, goodbye Maybe in another universe with stars and moons that we discover Leaping in a single bound I could be your super lover I'm no man of steel You can call your justice league Baby we'll still fight 'cause I'm Kryptonite

Unlikely Rockstar -- Blue Morris Not everyone gets to meet their last love Have the last laugh, gets to have it all I'm a forty-one year old man and I'm still tryin' to be a rockstar Laugh at me all you want I'll keep playin' my guitar The older I get the less I have of time for all the bullshit I'm too busy rockin' my life to care to see you Go..... oh..... oh Go..... oh..... oh When you're young you're so brave 'cause You think everything you do is bold and new But who set the bar? You don't know Dylan from GnR Now I'm older but I'm still just as brave a man, In love and life, 'cause if I fail I don't give a damn Now every day is my own, the biggest commitment that I make in my life now is to happiness and I can keep my vow, without you.... ooo.... ooo you.... ooo.... ooo I've got so many memories, collected in boxes of regret And on each box without shame, is a label with a woman's name When all her things are packed away You find there's still something there that she left behind, in your mind It's all the things you wonder 'bout the kind of man you are And all the things you do, you didn't do And all she wished you were I live alone and I sleep 'till noon, no wife or kids or a 9 to 5 doesn't mean I'm a cad, I'm a good man, I just got other plans Not everyone gets to meet their last love Have the last laugh, gets to have it all I'm a forty-one year old man and I'm still tryin' to be a rockstar Laugh at me all you want I'll keep playin' my guitar The older I get the less I have of time for your bullshit I might be the one you left alone, but at least I know I tried it...

Ghosting Me 03:29
Ghosting Me - Blue Morris I know you've got my number It's written on that twenty dollar bill That you slid into your back pocket of those jeans that fit you so well Did you forget my number was written there on that bill? It’s right there next to the Queen’s face I hope you spent her well. Are you ghosting me? Are you freezing me? Dishonestly teasin'? What comes of this? We've gone too far To fall without even a call What did you buy with that twenty? I hope it was something fine Like a good old record with some favourite songs Or maybe a bottle wine I hope you got drunk on that bottle, And had yourself a time, And spent your fine drunken ass Feeling lonely with every glass Are you ghosting me? Are you freezing me? Dishonestly teasin'? What comes of this? We've gone too far To fall without even a call Hey, that's my phone ringing, Who's calling now? No pretty-girl voice on the other line, singing, “Hey, remember me?” I know you've got my number it’s written on that twenty dollar bill How could I fall for this again 'When honey you ain't worth ten Are you ghosting me? Are you freezing me? Dishonestly teasin'? What comes of this? We've gone too far To fall without even a call

Who's Gonna Love You to Sleep Tonight? - Blue Morris It's 8:43 in the morning, I'm sharing a street-side bench With two other men looking worse than me And I'm hoping that I won't be them But in seventeen minutes I'll prob'ly give in 'Cause that's when the liquor store will open We'll cross the street, spend the bills we find Crumpled in pockets of raincoats No wishing things were different, You know they'd just be the same Just because I love you Doesn't mean we won't feel the shame Nothing in nature lasts forever, and that means you and me All we are is all we can do for each other in times of need I made room for you in my life When you and your toothbrush moved in You said you adored me And you want to be my wife You want' to play house and live like adults but still act like kids but that kinda happy is commitment not a consequence It wasn't our failures that lead us here, You know dear it was the drink Now here I am learning how to resist By watching you get pissed you're gonna fall, you're gonna fall, you're gonna fall, you're gonna fall you're gonna fall............... Hiding under your bed covers, downin' that bottle of wine Who's gonna love you to sleep tonight darling, 'cause you know that I'll be fine Who's gonna love you to sleep tonight darling, 'cause you know that I'll be fine

Love Will Come Again – Blue Morris With too many thoughts abusing my mind I wandered the city alone I bundled my coat as the wind took my soul And that's when it started to snow Took refuge inside an indie cafe Covered in posters for bands I sat at the bar, and studied a sign For a lost black cat named Dan. That's when the old man sat next to me He said, “What do you think happened to Dan?” I said, “I don't know but I do hope he's all right... We could all use a helping hand.” He was 68 and fighting fate Feeling good in a suit from Sally Anne He worked for the city pouring salt on the streets But it hadn't snowed here in years. I said, “What are you doing here dressed so fine?” He said, “I am meeting a lady I met on-line. “It's been so long that I've been on my own... and I do think her pictures are fine.” He said “Love will come again this year.” He said, “Love will come again this year As sure as it snows I do know... that love will come again this year.” How long do you wait, for a girl you don't know, If she might be the girl you could love? Waiting inside, watching the snow And knowing that she wouldn't show And who knows the ways of courtship? In these days of indifference If we all join in the same dance can we blame it on the cruelty of chance? He said “Love will come again this year.” He said, “Love will come again this year As sure as it snows I do know... that love will come again this year.” I looked out the window and down at the street, There in the city lamps' dance Shiverin' in snow, on four little feet, was the lost black cat named Dan.

Four Seasons 04:06
Four Seasons – Blue Morris Go away my sunshine Never mind the green grass growin' I know you will shine on someone else for just a time I will wait for you four seasons I will wait for you my love I will wait for you four seasons I will wait for you my love Now all the leaves are brown Wishing you could hear me falling Who's the man you're calling home and keeps you shining bright? Could it be as cold where you are my love? Could you be as cold to him my love? How much can I hold without you my love? If I can't hold you my love? If I can't hold... I will wait for you four seasons I will wait for you my love I will wait for you four seasons I will wait for you my love
10.
One Last Dance – Blue Morris The doors are closed, the curtains are drawn, Now the lights are turned on and the drunks have gone home We spin 'round like fools 'till first light They'll kick us out, we'll have to say good-night And when that comes, tomorrow I fear We're just two broken clowns with mugs full of beer Now the band has stopped playing, never mind Give me one last dance before I go. It won't be long, you'll forget my name ‘Cause moonlight is magic and no one's to blame And if you should ever see me here again We'll nod to each other awkward from afar. Tell me your name, don't give me your number Don't buy me cigars or ever meet my mother Just hold on to me while they call for the cops, Give me one last dance, One last kiss, One last lovin' before I go.
